1 John 2:15–19
15 Don't love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love isn't in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn't the Father's, but is the world's. 17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God's will remains forever. 18 Little children, these are the end times, and as you heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen. By this we know that it is the final hour. 19 They went out from us, but they didn't belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have continued with us. But they left, that they might be revealed that none of them belong to us.

Matthew 14:24–31
24 But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. 25 In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost! and they cried out with fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, Cheer up! I am here! Don't be afraid. 28 Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters. 29 He said, Come. Peter stepped down from the boat and walked on the waters to come to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me! 31 Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, You of little faith, why did you doubt?

1 Juan 2:15–19
